Fantail Goldfish
Ryukin
Ryukin is fantail goldfish . The main
features: It has a pointed head , short and fat body and a humpback beginning
immediately after the head . According to the records of Chinese professor
Chen Zhen (1955), Chinese goldfish were shipped to Japan in 1502 or 1620(Ming
dynasty) for the 1st time from Quan Zhou (FuJian). Since then ,goldfish were
transported to ports in Japan times again .So it is called "Ryukin" , which has
become one of the most popular varieties in Japan , especially the bright red
and white Ryukin.
